We’re very excited to welcome multiple time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and current UFC Fighter Robert Drysdale to Like Minded Jiu Jitsu!
On March 6th, from 10am to 1pm, this seminar is both Gi and No-Gi, and will focus on back takes and leg locks. It is open to all students, schools, and skill levels.

About Robert Drysdale:

Robert Drysdale is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion and mixed martial arts fighter currently signed to the UFC.

Robert was born January 1st, 1981 in Provo, Utah to an American father and Brazilian mother. In 1987, his family relocated to Brazil where Robert spent the remainder of his childhood. After high school he returned to the US to attend college but soon returned to Brazil in order to train and compete in BJJ full time.

In 2004, he received his black belt under Leo Vieira of the Brasa Club in Brazil. In 2005, he became a black belt world champion for the first time. In  2007, Robert won the prestigious ADCC Championship by submitting highly regarded Marcelo Garcia.

In 2008, Robert once again returned to Las Vegas, Nevada where he was the head BJJ and grappling instructor at the world renowned Xtreme Couture Gym, founded by MMA legend Randy Couture. While at Xtreme Couture Robert quickly gained attention for his BJJ skills as a practitioner but also as an instructor. It was also this time that Robert began to train as a mixed martial arts fighter.

In 2010, Robert made his professional mixed martial arts debut at AFC 3 in Victoria, BC. Canada. He won his fight by 1st round submission. In 2013, Robert was signed to the UFC and made his UFC debut on July 6th, 2014. To date his professional mixed martial arts record stands at 6 wins, 0 losses with all wins coming by 1st round submission.

Robert currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where he owns and operates his own training academy, Drysdale Jiu-Jitsu. The gym is a hot bed of talent and is frequented by some of BJJ and MMA’s biggest names. Robert is still active in BJJ as an instructor but is currently training exclusively in MMA. He is also the co-founder of the competition team, Zenith Jiu-Jitsu along side fellow world champion, Rodrigo Cavaca.
